The past few months I’ve been shooting my heart out and so many positive things happened around me. Just now I realized that my first wedding season has come to an end, and how blessed can I be with amazing clients, clients that became best friends, clients that became unbelievable suppliers and most of all people around me that crawl into my heart just by supporting me. They say that you can get inspired by everything you see and do, and being around my clients most of the time through emails, editing thousands of photos till perfection and just creating that special bond… they are the reason for one inspiring blog post.
Today I share with you Jonathan and Christine’s engagement session, well I think it’s more a fun beautiful afternoon with a gorgeous couple. From the first meeting with them, we just connected. Such an easy going couple, and Christine’s beauty that shines through being the lovely person that she is. We had so many laughs this afternoon.
“When God puts love and compassion in your heart toward someone, He’s offering you an opportunity to make a difference in that person’s life. You must learn to follow that love. Don’t ignore it. Act on it. Somebody needs what you have.” – Joel Osteen.
I’m a huge Joel Osteen follower, and reading through sayings always makes me wonder… how can I implement this saying in my daily life routine and in my business. Everything and everybody that comes in your life are there to make a difference. To challenge you to be better, to give you the opportunity to make them better or just to be that mark in your life that one day you will remember. As much as I love shooting and being busy, I think that everyone needs that few days of looking back and just see what you’ve accomplish. You need that pat-on-the-back as I call it. Your mind need a break so it can come up with new and different fresh ideas. A few weeks back this saying of him stuck with me. Soon after that I met some amazing ladies.. and so my idea started. I’ve been anticipating this session for what seems like forever now.
Meet Liesel from Sugar Smith Cakes. I was searching online for a cake artist (My clients will soon see the reason for that!) and I met her. Her talent blew me away, I’m so excited to have her cakes featured in this shoot. I would highly recommend her for any occasion, view her website here. The next two ladies helped me with the amazing floral headpiece, they are from Love Knot Event Coordination. Meet Ashleigh and Erin, the flower queens. Ash, one of my own brides for later this year… contacted me to photograph their work and then they offered to help me with anything I need for my styled sessions. With Pinterest ideas being shared we soon decided on the colors, and I couldn’t be more happy with the result. I should also mention that Christine’s makeup was done by Janell, can’t wait to meet you at the wedding!
Enjoy this inspiring shoot.
